Your mission
Step into the role of People Operations Manager and drive operational excellence in all aspects of our people functions. From payroll processing to employee support, you'll ensure compliance with labor laws while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. In this role you will
  • Operational Excellence: Manage and optimise People operational tasks, including payroll processing, contract generation, and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Compliance and Detail-Oriented Execution: Ensure strict adherence to German labor laws, with a keen focus on detail and accuracy in contract and payroll management.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries, addressing concerns with empathy and efficiency. Conduct regular check-ins to gauge employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Learning and Development: Coordinate and book learning opportunities, facilitating continuous professional growth and development within our team.
  • Performance Management: Utilise people management tools to monitor and report on employee performance, assisting in the development of strategies to increase productivity and satisfaction.
  • Legal Document Generation: Produce legally compliant and detailed referral letters for departing employees, reflecting their contributions and achievements.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware management and access to necessary tools and systems alongside our Jr. People Experience Manager.
What you need to be successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operations, with a proven track record in payroll and contract management in a high growth environment within the startup industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a passion for accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of HR documentation and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven business fluency in English and German.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with an empathetic approach to employee relations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Personio) and Office Tools.
